Hi Rosemary,
For optimum quality and safety, we recommend keeping fresh turkeys at refrigerator temperatures only for 1-2 days. If you are storing for longer at 40°F, you might begin to notice off odors, color changes, and a slimy coating. Freezing is the best method for longer storage.
