My Ivy Geranium's Tortured Journey #920676

Asked October 27, 2025, 11:28 AM EDT

One of the photos shows a very happy plant, in full bloom on October 8, trailing through the railings on the balcony. Then they came to paint the complex. They removed the railings and I set the plant on a table on the balcony, then brought the table inside where it waited, with minimal light, for a week. I hurt my back dragging it outside for a few days before the painters were expected and then back in again. When they didn't paint, I brought the plant inside in front of the window where it spent last winter. That's the other two pics. It's inside for the duration, still with a few blossoms set to bloom. Her name is Coral Fire Ball and for some reason, the color of these flowers makes my heart sing. I was upset when they disrupted her summer. What do I do now? Do I cut this plant back after those blooms?. I know to keep it inside until spring but can I keep clipping the ends of the vines and force new growth closer to the root? Or should I take the vines off completely and start again? Last year it was blooming in the window, inside, in March, after I'd whacked it back in October....
