Weed and Feed that doesn’t kill my clover. #906291

Asked June 18, 2025, 3:05 PM EDT

Do you know of a lawn treatment that will feed the grass, get rid of the burdock, dandelions and broad leafed plantain, but not kill my clover? I like the clover. The bees like the clover. The bees like the dandelions as well, although I don’t. At least not in the lawn immediately around the house. We are on a smallish hobby farm, and have acres of periodically mown lawn that’s full of red and white clover and dandelions. Plenty there for the bees. I’d asked Scott’s for a solution, but they want to kill the clover along with the weeds. Thanks.

Expert Response

I am sorry but any broadleaf killer with also kill clover as it is considered broadleaf.  You would have to do two step process.  You can just fertilize.  To kill the weeds, you will have to spot spray manually.  You can avoid the clover as much as possible and concentrate of the weeds.  Make sure to use a broadleaf weed killer.  That will not kill your grass.
