Sugar Maple Losing Top Leaves #905983

Asked June 16, 2025, 2:02 PM EDT

Hello, a large Sugar Maple tree in the yard has started and continues to lose leaves at the top. There are no noticeable spots on the leaves. Any idea what the issue is and what might be a treatment? We experienced droughts over the last several years, including extreme. Please see photo. Thank you

Expert Response

Maple tree decline is very common, especially in urban environments.  Any of several factors can account for this,  including drought.
