We meed help with our front lawn (fairly dry fairly shady) which has gotten a LOT of bare soil after a spring rake.
Are there companies who are experienced with the installation of things like sedges and clover which might work in a shady area?

You can check with your locally owned garden center to see if they have any recommendations on reputable companies. You can also do a search and you will find companies that advertise their specialties. The conditions you mention are not grass friendly but you are on the right track considering sedges and/or clover and other ground covers.
