Several of our asters are growing deformed. No yellowing and look reasonably healthy otherwise. May also be on the salvia. Maybe a virus?

This appears to be feeding damage caused by four four-lined plant bug.

We commonly see this damage early in the season. It is mostly cosmetic, and as there is only one generation, the plants should grow out of it. If you like, you can trim out the worst-affected leaves to more normal-looking growth.
