We don't have specific cultivar recommendations for asparagus aside from selecting male varieties. (Asparagus plants are either male-flowered or female-flowered.) Since female plants fruit, they are a bit less vigorous overall, since ripening seed takes a lot of resources that could otherwise be contributing to more growth.
