When to plant Skyrocket Junipers in 80031 #894475
Asked March 15, 2025, 9:41 AM EDT
Hello, I am planning on planting 40 Skyrocket Junipers (these specifically: https://www.fast-growing-trees.com/products/juniperskyrocket?variant=<personal data hidden>116&pack_id=<personal data hidden>116-24PACK) along a 120 ft fenceline to help provide a visual break from the busy road behind my house. When is the best time to plant these trees in zip code 80031? Any other advice or things I should take into consideration when planting?

Hi,
The best time to plant Skyrocket Junipers is during spring, from March 15th through June 15th, or early fall from September 1st through October 15th. It is probably better, given our sometimes erratic climate, to plant them earlier in the spring season rather than later because cooler weather is better for establishing new plantings.
I am attaching the Fact Sheet, Columnar and Fastigiate Trees for CO Landscapes - 7.427, for planting tips.
