Would you recommend watering this week, while its warm? #892017

With the fall/winter drought, do you recommend winter watering? I was thinking the evergreens would need water the most, but if I could turn the irrigation on for a day or two would you recommend watering everything?

Good Morning Greg, 

Thank you for contacting the U of M Extension Service. 

We were recommending watering trees and shrubs in the fall when it was very dry. 

At this point, the ground is frozen. Eventhough we are getting a few days above freezing, the ground is still frozen. I would not recommend watering trees at this point in the winter.
