Why might one tomato wither? #877137

Asked July 14, 2024, 8:47 AM EDT

Hello! I planted 4 different tomato varieties in sub irrigated planters. I don’t know their names. The one that had the most vigorous growth for the first couple months is now withering branch by branch, turning yellow and limp. I’ve been watering consistently and the other plants are doing well. Any ideas?

Expert Response

I suspect the one that is turning yellow is getting to much water. It may be difficult to save it, but stop the watering for a few days. It is under a lot of stress. Let the soil dry out and then water again.
