We have two Pluot trees in our yard in Beaverton. We noticed leaf holes and curling on them post-bloom, and have found numerous bugs but have been unable to identify or control them. What are there and what can we do to control them at this stage?

Hi AAndrew and thanks for the pictures of the leaves on your Pluot and the mystery bug which turns out to be... a ladybug larvae! The first picture has a ladybug pupae on the leaf which will turn into the adult beetle soon. This is great news because they will take care of any other pests such as aphids that might be causing the leaves to curl on your tree.
The holes you see are a fungus called "shothole" and there's not much to do about it because it kind of relates to the crazy weather we've been having. Just make sure you pick up the fallen leaves this year and dispose of them away from the tree.
In other words, there's not much you need to do and I hope you get a great crop of pluots this year!
