There are black beetles in my black eyed susans appearing to eat just the buds. They are not that big and are solid black as far as I can tell and are just by the buds on the plant. Any idea what they are and how I can deal with them without killing all the pollinators?

Expert Response
Can you share a photo of the plant and beetle with us?
If you can give us an estimated size and what kind of damage you are actually seeing( whole bud missing? holes?) that would be helpful as well.

Are you sure it is a Rudbeckia/Black-eyed Susan or might they be Coneflowers/Echinacea?
