I'm wondering if Daphne odora can get a fungus. Our formerly thriving plant survived the cold event this winter, put on a few blooms and some new growth but is now wilting and disfigured. We brought in some leaf mould early in spring also. Any insights? If there is a fungus how could we repair the soil for another Daphne, or is the location out?
Thanks.

Thank you for your question. Daphne are susceptible to 4 fungal/bacterial diseases, as well as viruses. https://pnwhandbooks.org/plantdisease/host-and-disease-descriptions?title=daphne
I am afraid the photos are not clear enough to provide any feedback about which one(s) your plant has. You can take your leaf samples, as well as a clear photo of the entire plant, to either the Washington County Extension office (https://extension.oregonstate.edu/washington) or the Clackamas County Extension office<personal data hidden>) to determine when there will be Master Gardeners there, who can identify the problem and help with a cure.
Note that some fungi are spread through the air, and attach themselves to leaves, especially with moist air. They cannot be cured by treating the soil. I hope this helps. Good luck!
