Interpreting my soil test #870354
Asked May 28, 2024, 5:55 AM EDT
I have a raised garden that since it started two years ago has never produced good tomatoes. I originally filled the bed with a mix of topsoil and compost from the garden store. I did a soil test in November, which is attached. Three values are off the charts. What should I do to fix may soil so that my veggies will grow this year?

Expert Response
Your soil test is recommending that you do not apply any type of fertilizer. Allow the plants to take up what they need and rain/water will wash some of the nutrients away. The pH is basically neutral. Try planting your tomatoes deeply in the soil. Roots will develop on the portion of the stem buried. Water on an as needed basis.
