I am attaching a similar question and the answer because they may be helpful to you.  You didn't provide photos, so we don't know if you need to pull mulch away from the tree or if it was planted too deeply.  Check for these, as outlined in the attached reply.  Otherwise, droopy maple leaves usually indicate too little or too much water.  Check your tree as described in the attached article to see if this is the issue.  Good luck with your tree.
