Lawn leveling and top dressing #862148

What type of top dressing is recommended to lawn leveling? What is the maximum depth of top dressing? Any other tips on best practices for leveling? Thank you!

I would use topsoil, a loam soil would be good, which has sand, silt and clay. I would apply 0.25" per application. I would make these applications once per month until the desired depth, leveling affect is achieved.
