Hi, I really like the fragrance of Arabian Jasmine (way better than star jasmine in my opinion) and i want to know what I can do to best help it survive living in the Washington County area (Zone 8b). I will plant it in the ground with a spot that receives all day sun and I hope to have it grow on trellis/pillar/arbor. Can you give me some advice re. growing it in my backyard? A to do list will be wonderful. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your question, Isabell. I am unable to find any OSU Extension information about "Arabian jasmine", but here is a fact sheet from Arizona: https://www.public.asu.edu/~camartin/plants/Plant%20html%20files/jasminumsambac.html It is not hardy in your Zone, and will die outdoors in the winter, which is why it is popular in tropical regions.
So, you might consider building a greenhouse to keep it warm and humid enough throughout our winters, as a start. It will not survive otherwise. Good luck!
