Is Queen Ann's Lace Dangerous for Horses to Eat #804562

Asked August 04, 2022, 8:23 AM EDT

We breed horses. We currently have 17 horses and expect that we will 4-5 horses born on our farm this coming spring. Is Queen Ann's Lace dangerous for horses to eat? If so, does it apply to the whole plant or just the flower? I think our horses have been eating the plant in our pastures for a few year's to no visible ill effect. Recently Queen Ann's Lace has blossomed in every pasture since we could not do our usual cutting due to mowing equipment being repaired. I read on the internet that this plant is bad for horses, but I believe that they have been eating it all along, but the blossoms were not seen because they were being mowed before they could bloom.
