Wood for building planter box #790953

What is best wood to use for building planter box for vegetables? Is it ok to use treated wood?

Any untreated wood is fine to use.  However, the common ACQ pressure-treated lumber is also ok to use as it contains copper but no arsenic or other dangerous chemicals.  The following link to the University Extension Service will provide more detailed information on materials that can be used:  https://extension.umd.edu/resource/safety-materials-used-building-raised-beds
