Asked August 21, 2021, 5:57 PM EDT

hello-- i am wondering if there is a 'best' time to collect zinnia seeds. in the last few weeks as i have dead headed, i saved the dried head with the thoughts of breaking the head into seeds and saving for next year at a later time. not sure if this is ok-- or do i need to collect, break into seeds and bag right away? do i just twist the head and fing the seeds?how do i store them? any advice will be appreciated/ thank you.! cindy
