Howdy, Jimmy and thank you for your inquiry. The vegetation appears to be host to a fungal pathogen called Fig Rust (Cerotelium fici), a pathogen that is more prevalent in areas with higher humidity such as our coastal region. There are not any fungicides that are approved for use on fig species to treat this pathogen. Organic materials containing copper are generally effective at controlling fig rust if applied at the onset of the disease. Best practice for maintenance is to dispose of fallen affected leaves and pruning to maintain adequate airflow through the canopy.
