Red Maples #748805

Asked May 08, 2021, 5:54 PM EDT

Hello! I’ve been trying to do some research online. I’ve lived in the PNW for the last year, and I’m trying to find out the name of the maples that stay red all year long. They have gorgeous 6-in leaves and a pretty straight narrow trunk that kind of looks like a beech tree trunk. Any info would be helpful! Thank you!

Apologies, meant to type 4-5 in leaves!

This is most likely a red Norway maple, Acer platanoides 'Crimson King'. A close-up photo of the leaves would help determine that for certain. Here is a link to more information. https://landscapeplants.oregonstate.edu/plants/acer-platanoides-crimson-king
