Hello,
I have salal that was planted last year and just ravaged by weevils. I tried Captain Jack's, DE, and another contact spray (NEEM oil?), but nothing worked. I resorted to picking them off nightly, upwards of 100/night. We have released nematodes three times this spring and I'm started to see a few weevils at night, but so far much less (about 10). How do I get rid of them?

Here is an article that contains information needed to treat root weevils. There is a fererence to using nematodes with pros and cons. There are references to using stronger insecticides for your consideration. I hope this helps you make a decision.
