Is there scientific evidence that supports using banana peels or banana pellets tea in the garden?
I just include these peels in my compost pile. Should I do something different?

Hi- we suggest that you continue to add your peels to the compost pile. We don't know of any scientific studies on using banana peels as a fertilizer.
Banana peels are high in potassium, but applying a banana peel fertilizer to your plants would be a waste if the soil is already sufficient in plant-available potassium. We suggest that you test your soil to get baseline information on nutrient levels, soil pH, and organic matter.
