In the spring the color of our Annabelle Hydrangea Blooms was white. However, recently these blooms are now light green. Can you please tell us what caused this color change? What can we do to get the blooms to be white again? Thank you.

Hello
It is natural for Annabelle Hydrangea flowers to go from white to green. They are white when they first bloom and stay that way, for perhaps two weeks. As they age, the green pigment which is the natural color of the sepals of the flowers overpower the weaker white pigment and the blossoms slowly turn green. You may be able to prolong the white flowers by keeping the plants well-watered. Once they have aged and turned green, you can pick them for dry flower arrangements.
