Storm winds broke a stem of my tomato plant (with tomatoes on it!). I'm trying to nurse it...by putting supporting it with a paper towel roll and popsicle sticks and staking it again. Is this likely to work on this type of break??
Thanks in advance!

Hi- it looks like that stem is supporting a number of fruits so taking the weight off the breakpoint is a good idea. If there is enough conductive tissue intact it's possible that all or some of the fruit may continue to enlarge and ripen. Definitely worth a try. Let us know what happens! Jon
