Growing Reblooming Weigela in the shade #651312

I recently bought a Reblooming Weigela to plant not realizing they like the sun. The location I was going to plant it in is fairly shady so I am trying to decide whether to return it and get a different plant for that location. I included a picture of the Weigela and the location I was going to plant it. The location would be between the trees and the 4 existing butterfly bushes along our white fence and as you can probably see there won't be a lot of sun there when it is shining. Thoughts?

Thank you for your question about planting Weigela.   A plant that requires full sun generally needs at least six hours of direct sun each day. Weigela may also be planted in light shade, however, flowering will not be as abundant.
