Spider plant with brown tips #577404

Hi there-
I have three spider plants in my living room. I've had them for about two years as well and they seem to be doing well. Though I've noticed that nearly all the tips of my plants get brown, dry and transparent. What could be causing this? I water them once a week (with a good amount of water)right now. Photo attached.
Thank you!

Hello. I'm glad you've turned to AaEx.
Sometimes this is an indication of underwatering. I think the rest of your leaves look healthy and well watered since they are not droopy. So the best I can tell is that there may be a build of mineral salts in the soil. This can be remedied in two ways.
1) Make sure your pot has good drainage and run water through it over several days letting all the water drain out. This will help to leach out the minerals. There is a caveat to this. The roots of the spider plant are thick and swell up with water for those dryer days. If they get really large over time, they can actually push the plant out of the pot. So . . .
2) you can carefully scrape off the top layer of the soil and top dress it with fresh potting soil.
Going forward, be sure to let the water drain out of the pot each time you water so that the mineral salts do not build up.
