Expert Response
Despite an extensive internet search, I did not find any specific information on the safety of burning wood from an ash tree that was treated for Emerald Ash Borer. However, I did learn a lot about the many different pesticides and application options used. Because burning the treated wood would also include burning those chemicals applied or injected into the wood it doesn’t seem that there could ever be a guarantee that it is safe to do so.
