Can I freeze flour? #486387

I like to bake, but don't often have time. When I do, then I end up with half a bag of flour left over, and if I don't use it in a couple of months it starts smelling old and I end up throwing it out.
Can I freeze it? If so how long do you think it would keep in the freezer?
Thanks!

You can keep white flours in the refrigerator or freezer in an airtight container. All-purpose and bread flour will keep up to two years at 40 F in your refrigerator, according to the Wheat Foods Council. They can be stored indefinitely in the freezer. bring the flour to room temperature before use.
