Ball python nostrils blocked #441638

Help!! My ball python nose is scabbed over and her nostrils are blocked. She hasent eatin in awhile. Afraid she might have lost sense of smell (if possible) or something else might be wrong. Any suggestions to help heal her nose. Until i get her to a vet.

Thank you for your question.  I am not a veterinarian, so I do not provide any advice regarding medical issues. There are multiple reasons that your snake's nostrils are blocked.  You mentioned that your snake's nose is scabbed over, which implies some type of wound to its nose, so the nostrils could be blocked as a result of the injury.  A common cause for blocked nostrils is dried mucous that is the result of some type of respiratory ailment.  

The best advice I can give you is to take your snake to a reptile vet as soon as possible.  The vet will be able to diagnose the cause of your snake's problem, and provide the appropriate treatment.
