Our pecan tree has big eggs laid on both sides of leaves. They seem almost 1/4" diameter. What are they and can this be treated? Other trees are not infected.... Yet( see picture)

Those are galls caused by Pecan Leaf Phylloxera, an tiny insect . Other than make the leaves look funny, they are harmless and won't effect your pecans. Some trees are more susceptible than others. Unfortunately, when you see the galls, it's too late to treat the tree.

The information is from Georigia, but it makes the distinction between the stem infestations and the leaf infestations. If the damage is just in the leaves, there shouldn't be any issues with the tree. If the damage is in the stem, that's more of a problem.
