Planted Black and Bloom Salvia tubers in potting mix. Have in house under plant lights. Surface of soil is moldy. Have not watered excessively so soil is only moist.
How do we control the mold formation?

Saprophytic molds often grow on organic matter in potting soil. These do not affect the health of plants growing there. However, you can remove the mold if you wish and discourage its return by keeping the soil surface as dry as possible without depriving the salvia roots.
