Found this in a wooden box sent from lousianna. Can you tell me what it is ?

It appears to be a spider from the Family Theridiidae - Cobweb Spiders. See this website for more information on the Family. http://bugguide.net/node/view/1960

Most of these common spiders are harmless but the family does include the widow spiders. Do you have a photo of the underside of the spider?
