Poisonous plants for goats? #218901

Asked October 30, 2014, 1:59 PM EDT

Are dogwood (Cornus alba), Juneberry (Amelanchier) and Hydrangea safe for goats to eat?  I have been offered prunings from a neighbour's hedge, but don't want to give my goats anything poisonous.

Expert Response

Dogwwod and Juneberry are safe for your goats however Hydrangea is quite toxic. If you decide to feed the clippings to your goats, sort through them quite thoroughly to make sure  there is no Hydrangea clippings.
