I have a orange tree and a lemon tree planted next to each other(30ft apart) I live in ingleside,Tx The trees are about 4 years old. for some reason or another. my lemon tree grew lemons that looked like oranges,but when you opened it up, it tasted just like a lemon but it looked like an oragne. same size as a orange. same color as the orange Last year they were yellow like a lemon and they were even shaped like a lemon. i can't figure out what happened this year.

Is your lemon tree a Meyer lemon. A Meyer lemon has most of the Characteristics of an orange- size, color, texture and pulp color but tastes like a lemon. A Meyer lemon is not a true lemon. It has less acidity than a true lemon.
