We have had sugar ants in our bathroom since the first part of Feb. We have had a professional come who has used everything he knows to use to get rid of them and still they are persistent. We have had wallpaper for 20 years in this bathroom which is located where 2 sides are on outside walls. Could the wallpaper paste attract them? I see them close to and on the ceiling especially where we have a wallpaper border on the top and then wallpaper going down the walls. Those are areas where we see most of them.

Ant issue #451380

Recently I’ve been dealing with an ant issue. They came as soon as the weather got nice. I wouldnt mind THAT much except somehow I’ve caught a couple of them in my bed! Obviously looking to kill all the ants, but also is there a way to deter them from a specific location? (I.e. bed/bedroom). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Happy to give you more info if necessary. Picture of one of the ants is included.

Carpenter ants in wall #447624

we evidently have a nest of carpenter ants in our living room wall which faces west. I called pest control and they layed down advion ant gel bait. It has been 2 weeks since I have seen any ants. How long does it take for the satellite colony to die off in the wall?. We have seen over 60 huge carpenter ants(total,so far) in the living room and the bedroom directly above which share the common wall. This problem started on that first very warm day around Feb. 21st. Also, what can I spray around the perimeter of the house so they don't get in again? Thankyou for ANY help. Get rid of ants naturally #446135

Hi! I have been struggling to rid the small sugar(?) ants with peppermint and which hazel spraying he counters. Within 1 day the army is back... I've also used borax and powdered sugar with drops of water...nothing works so far. I'm getting desperate, and nearly to the point of going postal with Raid...please save us all! I'd also appreciate any idea for outside around the perimeter of the house. I've seen tons of ants there as well. Thank you so much, Meg Coryell

We have tiny black ants in our bathroom and just a few in our kitchen for about a month now. We hired a man from Valley Green here in Salem to help us. We cannot tell where they are coming from as we have found them on the ceiling, floor, counter, walls and around the bathtub. He has sprayed the outside of our house and put granules around the house. He has put down traps in the bathroom and kitchen.  . I did see a couple of the ants go behind our mirror in our bathroom today otherwise it is hard to tell where they are coming from and going to. There are fewer ants now so I am thinking these are sugar ants. Is it possible to have a different ant invading our home and one that just looks like a sugar ant? Thank You, Helen Morgan

While Pines Recently Planted #426681

I planted 3 potted white pine trees about 6 weeks ago. They are about 36 inches tall and nicely filled out. Recently they have developed some yellow needles that I'm concerned about. Am I watering too much? Too little? The sold is about 6 inches of topsoil and then sandy soil. Or is this normal?

We have several large (20 in at base) pine trees that are losing green needles.  Started about two weeks ago.  In 35 years don't think I have seen the green needle loss.  We live in Black Forest near the El Paso County border.  (Approx. 7000 ft.)
