5Tbsp coffee in a gallon of water is to be sprayed directly on slugs but not on plants, and a weaker solution slows their appetite. But I am working on growing a white clover lawn to repair the damage from the gadflies (I think). I am glad to know the clover attracts predator ground beetles, but will the coffee hurt the clover if I use the 2% solution or should I dilute it more with water? I grow the clover because it attracts the bees for pollination, stays green without prompting, spreads like the dickens, smells nice, and my chickens love it. I just don't want to kill it with the coffee slug spray. Slugs and snails love clover but my chickens don't love slugs and snails. Would the 2% solution be okay for this type of lawn?
