Consumer Horticulture Program Instructor

Nate W, a lifetime Michigander, is an entomologist with a passion for pollinators, gardening, and local food.  He holds a PhD and MS in Entomology from Michigan State University, as well as a BA from Kalamazoo College. Nate’s teaching experience includes teaching plant pathology and applied entomology for the MSU Institute of Agricultural Technology. He has worked with adults and youth of all ages on subject matters ranging from plant pathogens and pest management to environmental stewardship. He is currently the Consumer Horticulture Program Instructor for Michigan State University Extension in Leelanau County, MI.
