I received my MS from UC Davis in International Agricultural Development in 2009. After graduation, I worked for UC Davis managing organic research land and helping provide field-based education to students involved at the Student Farm. I then worked for the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project in Lowell, MA for a year before moving on to manage a 40 acre diversified vegetable farm in Eastern Massachusetts for five season. Now a member of the Eastern New York Commercial Horticulture Program of Cornell Cooperative Extension, I work to provide production support to growers in the lower Hudson Valley. My primary areas of interest are small farm equipment, mechanical cultivation and weed control, organic production systems, and cover crops.
