County Extension Agent

My primary responsibility involves managing agricultural and natural resources programs in Gwinnett County by providing educational programs in forestry, horticulture, landscape management, water conservation and in related areas. The position requires the utilization of current research data and information on emerging issues in program development and teaching. My office collaborates with other agencies and community groups, such as the Urban Agriculture Council of Georgia, Gwinnett Technical College, and the USDA National Resources Conservation Services, in the implementation of educational outreach programs. Additionally, I oversee Master Gardener Extension volunteers who provide assistance in the implementation Extension programs. I have a personal interest and I am involved in the community by supporting community activities and organizations, as well as networking with community leaders.

My professional goals are consulting and research in agriculture and horticultural related industries.

Specialties: Diagnostics of plant pest problems, soil fertility, tree care, indoor pest control, pesticide applications and management, regulations affecting pesticides and soil conservation, turfgrass management, and erosion and sediment control. Also, I have interests in row crop agriculture and invasive species management.
