Extension Poultry Specialist

A graduate of Utah State University with a B.S. in Animal Science, Dr. Frame subsequently received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon State/Washington State Universities. Dr. Frame completed an avian medicine residency with the University of California, Davis specializing in poultry pathology and diagnostics. He is board certified in the American College of Poultry Veterinarians. He has served on various national boards, including the General Conference Committee of the National Poultry Improvement Plan, an advisory committee to the United States Secretary of Agriculture. He presently serves as editor for the Western Poultry Disease Conference, an internationally renowned poultry disease forum. Dr. Frame is the Utah State University Extension Poultry Specialist with an additional assignment as poultry diagnostician for the Utah Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.

A life-long love of poultry hallmarks Dr. Frame’s career. He has bred, raised, and showed many different breeds and varieties of exhibition chickens, and has judged local poultry shows for a number of years.
