I'm an Associate in Research at the WSU Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center. Although I'm not technically part of extension, outreach education is one of my primary assignments. I have a broad area of expertise that combines entomology with apple, pear and stone fruit postharvest quality as it concerns pest damage identification and differentiation from other forms of damage. I also train PNW industry workers on pest identification for export qualification. In addition to postharvest work, I am also involved with education based around integrating biological control into tree fruit pest management.
