Dr. Lisa Washburn is an Extension Health Specialist for the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. She provides leadership to the Extension health education and health promotion programs delivered across the state. Dr. Washburn develops programs to help Arkansans, young and old, improve health and well-being. Prior to assuming the Arkansas health specialist position, Lisa worked for eleven years as a County Extension Agent in Family & Consumer Sciences and 4-H. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences from Henderson State University and a Master’s degree in Health Studies from the University of Alabama. She graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Public Health in 2012 with a Doctorate in Public Health Leadership.
