Interesting pine cones

The smaller cones with the "trident bracts" are from Douglas-fir, the state tree of Oregon and the predominant conifer in the Pacific Northwest. See https://oregonstate.edu/trees/conifer_genera/douglas_fir.html
The other cone appears to be from a true cedar (Cedrus sp.), most likely Deodar cedar which are commonly planted as ornamental trees. True cedars are native to the Mediterranean, Middle and Far East, but they do very well here. https://oregonstate.edu/trees/conifer_genera/true_cedar.html
Have fun getting to know the trees here in Oregon!
Thanks, Glenn! I appreciate the quick response and links to more information.
