Recommendations for a hedge that can survive Colorado winters

Asked October 22, 2020, 6:35 PM EDT

I am looking for some recommendations for a privacy hedge in an area that gets full day hot sun in the summer and is unshielded from the wind in winter. I tried arborvitae and they all got winter burn last winter. Thanks in advance!

There is a great article specific to hedges that I will include below. Location, water, height needed, space available for mature size, soil type, and year round/seasonal are some considerations that should guide your selection.

Hopefully the link will give you some great ideas for a privacy hedge hardy enough for Colorado. If you want to provide more details and help you narrow down even further, please do not hesitate to post again!
