Planting blueberries

Asked October 17, 2020, 4:47 PM EDT

I live in San Juan County, Washington. The weather is a little cooler here than western Oregon in the summer, but often warmer in the winter. I am preparing a raised bed area 8 by 16 feet to plant blueberries. How close should each plant be placed?

Plant them 4-5 feet apart, and can be 8-10 feet between rows. Don't plant them too deep--bad for the roots. This is THE BEST publication I've seen for growing blueberries in the PNW: https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.edu/sites/catalog/files/project/pdf/ec1304.pdf
