cherry, flowering shothole, fungus

Our tree was planted about a year ago and until recently looked great. Your posted pictures of leaf fungus look identical to the leaves on our tree. Our question is: can a fungicide be applied this time of year or is it better to let the leaves fall, remove them and apply a fungicide in the spring? Also, what kind of fungicide. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Good Morning, Rake up the fallen leaves and discard. In early spring evaluate/monitor the plants; if you observe symptoms of stress, submit a picture to Ask Extension or directly to me by email so we can identify/confirm the issue and recommend treatment.
