Snow White Indian Hawthorn

Asked October 1, 2020, 1:39 PM EDT

I am trying to figure out if snow white indian hawthorn is deer resistant. Some sites said yes and some said no. However, since it is somewhat like an azeala, my guess it is not. Any chance you could you confirm either way?

Hello, Although some experts consider a few varieties of Indian hawthorn shrubs "deer-resistant," when a deer is hungry, it'll will eat almost any type of vegetation. If you are having problems with deer I would avoid it. They usually avoid any plant with a texture or strong smell. I had The same problem and tried Loropetalum Which the deer left alone. Here is a site that you can use to find some other alternatives; https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/ I hope this helps! Melody
