Crepe myrtle pruning when transplating
I'm going to move a 3 yr old CM this winter. Is it ok to prune down to 12-16 inches above ground to start growth over in Spring?

Yes, when you transplant a shrub you can prune it hard and let it regrow. Also make sure to prune any roots that get broken as you transplant.
Here is good information about transplanting a shrub:
Good luck.
Thank you!! Can I do that now, or do I need wait til fully dormant?
I'd wait until it is dormant, but you could do it now if you water it really well. If you do it now, pre-water the plant and where you will move it. Saturate the soil. Wait a day or two and then transplant.
THANK YOU!!!
